A website that stores documents and provides a directory and searching capabilities can be used as a virtual library or resource center on the web.

Uses and Potential Benefits

Can collect and provide easy access to information.  Also possible to allow users to enter new information into the database, expanding the reach of the database and reducing the costs of updating.  Example: a foundation might integrate a resource center for grantees' use into its website.
